Welcome to a Love Banquet

The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth. The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD. Isa 38:19-20

Life is About Praise!

Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. Son 1:2

We are all brides hungering for love. Sometimes we know what it is. Many times we don’t. Like an itch we expect it to stop but it doesn’t.

Songs are the pulse to the heartbeat. We sing because the heart races to the sky. We are lifted into a vocal pageant whose notes spill into the blood.

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, sings the psalmist. Songs are woven into our nature. We sing at sunrise, we sing at noon, and we sing at sun set.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.  My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. Psa 5:2-3

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. Psa 4:8

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;  Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. Psa 91:5-6

Ah songs, songs accompany our dreams when they first sprout shoots…

 DARKNESS

But trailing clouds of glory do we come

From God, who is our home:

Heaven lies about us in our infancy!

Shades of the prison-house begin to close

Upon the growing Boy

William Wordsworth Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood

To bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. Isa 42:7

And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. Isa 42:16

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever. Psa 30:11-12
